Messi has indeed been playing fairly decently this season. But as much as Barça fans should enjoy his form, they should also be worried about just how dependent on him the team seems to be.

Messi is covering up a lot of Barça's problems under Valverde, who is a good manager, but imo not really cut for a club so big. I think his contract extension will prove to be a mistake in the long run. Chances are you'll miss out on CL semis yet again.

There could be some financial troubles coming up ahead too. Despite the club insisting they are in good financial help, last month they asked for a 140M€ loan to an American bank... not even a year after a receiving a 100M€ loan from a Spanish bank. It sounds pretty shady.
