Yeah, Vegas gets "cap space" by LTIR'ing him and Montreal can probably flip Daddy for an asset.

cuz weber is donezos, he's basically retired but through LTIR. So that's ez cap relief for teams tight on cap like Vegas

do they still have to wait til day 1 of the season to ltir or is he just perma ltir so it always counts?
cause i know like pronger we had enough cap space and had to wait til day 1 of season to LTIR him

i always felt the day 1 ltir was kinda dumb you gain the cap space but already after post season is done not like you can go sign somebody with it

In the offseason you can be 10% over the cap and then LTIR him day 1 of training camp so it's pretty much like his cap hit doesn't exist.
