the 4th year means Toews will go straight to UFA so it was a team rather than player concession.

He's 26... He would have gone to UFA regardless

Tyler Bertuzzi was awarded $3.5 million via arbitration.

He was apparently seeking 4.25 million on a one year deal.

The wings were reported to be offering ~ 3 million.

Yeah im okay with this, i just wished we would have locked him up long term. But personally im not 100% sold on him just yet, i like what he brings to the table in grit and passion, but the skills department is kind of lacking. Maybe yzerman feels similar, and isnt quite ready to commit long term.
