I swear the quality of sigs these days are so awful. It's painful to see.
Is the online forum tagging era officially dead or what?
Pour one out for the homies.
Let's be completely real. Most of us who grew up in the major creative era of forum sigs are maybe somewhat still creative but in professional capacities now. A lot of ex-taggers I follow are Graphic Designers, ADs, CDs, Photographers, Videographers, Teachers etc. The generation below us, Gen Z, has a general lack of computer skills because they were mostly raised on tablets and phones while we were in the trenches cracking photoshop on computers that have less ram then an iPhone X. Niche tag forums like TM, opensurgery, Act one, etc died. NSL's death was the beginning of the end (shout outs to Sumomo). We are also in a new era where the work is just not being loved. I mean it wasn't like it was loved that much before in the sense of sig requests but with AI now available, the quality of sigs is gonna go down.
All I can say is to do them because you still love them.
