It makes sense when they gave up on last year so easily. They were one win away from the playoffs and maybe just one or two of these moves away last year. I'd fully assume Allen is on a short leash tell around December. I think they took the right route though. They are much better off now and who knows how much they would have had to pay extra for some extra help around the deadline.
