How to Report Forum Violations

A special thanks to Hedonism for the previous version.

Part I - User Groups
Part II - The Report Button
Part III - Specifics on Violations
Part IV - Specialty Reports

Part I - User Groups
This guide will run through how you can report different kinds of violations here on d2jsp.

There are six user groups which you can PM different violations to:
Members++
Trade Assistant
Trade Moderator
Junior Moderators
Moderators
Senior Moderator

Each of these User Group feature a brief explanation on the User Group Guide.

Please do not PM violations to Retired Moderators or Administrators.

Part II - The Report Button

On any given post, you will see a "Report Post" button, as seen here:

When you press this button, depending on the forum, you will see options such as these:

Once you see them, select the appropriate option, and send the report!

Button FAQ

Q: I am unable to perform a report, why?
A: There are a few reasons for this - Users with 70% warn and locked tags are unable to report. Another user may have already reported the post, or the thread may already be locked.

Q: I've already reported a topic or post, but nothing has been done about it - what is going on?
A: When you report a topic, it will be placed into a queue, to be seen by the moderation team once a member is free. Once it is seen, it will be dealt with appropriately.

Part III - Specifics on Violations
Please keep in mind that the breaking of any of these rules may result in action being taken against your account.

Trade Violations
Trade: Early Bump
An early bump is when you create two back-to-back posts in the same thread before the four hour bump time (Trading Grounds). In other forums, such as General Help or General Chat, the general rule is 24 hours, unless stated otherwise in the stickies of that forum.

Trade: Too Many Topics in the Top 50
At any given time, you may not have more than 3 topics in the Top 50 topics of a given forum. For non-trading forums, this rule may differ. See stickies for further details.

Trade: Early Repost After Thread Closed
Upon your thread being closed, you must wait at least one (1) hour before you are allowed to re-post it, unless stated otherwise by a moderator.

Trade: Illegal Trade
An illegal trade can be a range of things including, but not limited to anything that breaks the Site Rules or Trading Rules.
- Offering something you do not have (Whether it be forum gold or an item)
- Trading ears on softcore realms (Diablo II)
- Trading CD Keys, Accounts, Character Names, Games, Dupe Methods, or any other such items (Unless otherwise stated)
- Selling Hacked or Massively duped items (See Trading Rules)
- Selling Forum Gold (This should be immediately reported to Kevin)

General Violations
General: Spam
Spam is considered posting anything that is off-topic to the topic in question. This includes responding to spam posts.
Spam is also classified as stealing another users thread, this is a much more serious form of spamming.

General: Posting in Wrong Forum
With the new trade system in place, this report can be used for Services that are posted in FT, or anything along the lines. This should be used when you see a topic that should be in a different part of the forum, but is not.

General: Topic Title Violation
Although most banned topic names are automatically blocked from being posted, topic title violations include more than three characters on each side of your thread (!!!! RUNES !!!! is bad), off-topic titles, using spaces to make a title all caps, having alt-code characters, using the words perm, unperm, dupe, or anything along those lines, or using a vendor name.

General: Unauthorized Outside Links
You are not allowed to post links to external auction sites, sites that sell items for money, or anything of the sort. Links to websites containing binary files are not allowed, unless it is a confirmed site. Links to trojans, keyloggers or other viruses are not allowed. Links to promotional sites, referral sites, or any other sort of things are not allowed. Posting links to external trading forums are not allowed. Links WILL be removed, and warnings will be issued. If you are ever unsure of a link, PM a Junior Moderator or Moderator for approval.

General: Link to Binary or Trojan/Keylogger
Links to trojans, keyloggers or other viruses are not allowed.

General: Phishing Link (Link that requests account information)
You may not post links to websites that will ask for account information that are not official links.

General: Excessive Flaming or Personal Attacks
You may not attack another user in a rude or unacceptable manner. If there is a dispute, it should be handled in Private Messages. Personal attacks, modifying a users image, posting personal information, and other such forms of flaming are not tolerated on d2jsp.

General: Inappropriate Images Posted (Porn/Offensive Material, Personal Pictures, etc)
You may not post pornography, personal pictures of other users (without their consent), or offensive content.

General: Piracy or Warez Related
No linking to illegal/pirated material or Warez sites. D2JSP does not support piracy and doing so will result in action against your account.
