Hi everyone,

I remember reading somewhere that Inferno has a bug that makes it deal only half of its listed damage. Does anyone know if this bug is still occurring in 1.13?

haven't heard of it getting fixed at any point so it probably still exists

Wow, that fucking sucks. I was going to make a LLD Firewall Sorc, but if I only deal 1/3rd - 2/3rd of my displayed damage then I just might go with Fireball.

also firewall has cooldown timer on it which makes it even worse :[

firewall not suckes

ofc a well aimed firewall do more damage then a grazing shot
most skills need good aim
a firewall hits target alot more ezz then a fireball

time between namelock and firewall hit = 5action frames (at 63fcr)
time between a namelock and a fireball hit = 5action frames ball+8total frames tele = 13frames for a telestump
time between a namelock and a fireball hit = 5action frames ball + x frames ball in air
ball can only be as fast as wall if target telestump you, when your sorc is shoting balls north

i could give some more reasons! like more wall up then ball up!

yup. still bugged and its even less than half. It does 28% of its listed "piddly damage"
a fully synergised level 45 Inferno deals ~9K lcs or really does about 3K.

Awesome! Maybe I'll stick with Firewall for my LLD then. I'm a bit confused as to how direction (north) affects framerate though? Does that affect Firewall's damage generation also?

As for 63fcr, I should be able to hit that fairly easy with my setup:
Peasant Crown / Volcanic Amulet of Atlas / Spirit CS / Visceratuant / Spirit Shroud / Sanders Riprap / Crafted caster belt / Magefist

Amulet puts me at 40str, and Sanders Riprap puts me at 45str total which is the exact amount of strength required for Magefist. Spirit CS puts me at 35% FCR, Magefist adds 20%, and the crafted belt will add another 10% for a total of 65% FCR.

My gear gives me +7 all skills and +4 fire skills, which gives me a Lvl 24 Firewall that deals a (displayed) 6074 - 6159 dmg/sec. This will also put me at Lvl 8 Teleport and Lvl 8 Energy Shield, which should be sufficient for my needs. I'm not too worried about mana regen for Teleport/ES, since I have Lvl 31 Warmth (+390% mana regen) for its synergy with Firewall.

Thanks for your help guys, I think I have everything figured out :)

edit: inb4 people tell me to swap Spirit Shroud for Vipermagi and crafted belt for SoE ;)

I think he meant that if somebody were to teleport on you while you were casting fireballs north then they would get hit very quickly and that is the only time that fireball is as fast as fire wall.
