I love how he starts to lower himself when he is going to receive the ball

Really helps with his lightning release since he is basically already going up once it’s in his hands

Defensively, he won’t ever be able to stay in front of the really quick guards but he is learning to use his length to contest shots

Lots of room to grow

Assuming we are still talking about Hauser, his defense has actually impressed me. Way better than I expected it to be. He’s not super quick laterally like you say, but he holds his own for an unathletic white guy

Yep. He is already rising up once he catches since he doesn't bring the ball down either.
Very impressed with everything he is doing on defense. Never really lost on defense and always on point with his rotation/help defense. Def needs a lot of work as an iso defender though.

I think someone switched iso onto him last game, picking the “easy” defender (was it barrett?) and he Hauser smoked him

Can’t remember that play but he is def the weakest defender on the court pretty much at all times. Still, it’s better than having PP out there no doubt.

Thoughts on Vonleh? Love the energy and size but my god he is always late on rotations to protect the basket. Not sure he is going to be getting many minutes over Luke.

Not hard being the worse defender when literally just about the whole roster could make an all nba defense team. Imo he’s ahead of griffin and vonleh… griffin can take charges which is nice, but they’re mostly just 2 scarecrows.
