Tatum's defense has been out of this world. Celticsblog, a lot of users are contemplating whether or not Tatum is close to KD or Wiggins. It seems based on everyone's thoughts, that while Tatum's playstyle is similar to KD, his shot profile seems the closest to Pierce if you take away his floaters, (simple amount of 2's, and step back 3's,) while my argument is that Tatum's defense and ability to play as a two-player slots him as like a Pierce/George hybrid/mix.
Jayson started the year pretty inefficiently but since 11-29-19 has played 20 games and has shooting splits of 45.4/37.7/90.5 with a TS% of 56.5%.
It's been impressive watching Tatum develop. His length + uncanny awareness on the defensive end to tell when players are telegraphing their passes. He tends to think about 2-3 steps ahead, and literally he just needs 2 steps before his long arms + long strides enables him to intercept passing lanes.

[Grenham] Marcus Smart allowed just eight points to his matchups over 45.3 partial possessions last night, per the NBA’s tracking data. That’s back-to-back games now where Smart has held his matchups to under 10 points (allowed just four vs. New Orleans).

Grant Williams has shot 39.1% (9-for-23) from beyond the arc over his last 16 games. This is after he opened the season and his career 0-for-25 from long distance over his first 20 games.
