Stormshield .08 is Aegis, +3 Defense per Clvl, no lightning damage, rest is same.

Regular gives +3.75def/clvl and .08 gives +3def/clvl.

look up the difference between aegis and monarch shields.
think about which one is gonna be better for your character.

156 str req
attacker takes lightning damage
higher defense
lower % chance to block
doesn't make you run slower

even though you need a bit more dex for max block with the current version, it is definitely a better shield

Some BvB guy just PMed me, so I checked and you need just 6 more dexterity to get max block with the current one, which makes the additional 63 strength points needed to wear the 1.08 Stormshield quite a poor investment.
