Double shutout after that missed opportunity game 1. Team is rolling, game 1 Kershaw looked amazing and game 2 their bullpen was almost perfect, think they gave up a few hits/walks altogether. Victor Martinez is impressive and Graterol might be the future for the pen, flicks the ball effortlessly for 100-101 lol

My favorite part about the bullpen game yesterday was looking at the boxscore, 6 of the 7 relief pitchers have sub 2 ERA with only Graterol having just over 3 and he's got crazy good pitches.

I don’t know of anyone who predicted their pen being this good this year. I’m sure Ferguson’s season is out of nowhere, Martinez is also a crazy surprise and players like Floro, Alexander and Kolarek are bringing it. Treinen has been superb as well and McGee was another huge pick up.

They seem like the 2015 Royals team, even if they get 3-4 out of their starter they can comfortably rely on the pen after that. At least for now, hopefully it all doesn’t collapse.

Still undefeated in every series this year. Pen bouncing back and it’s good to see Lux get a few hits.

The dream is over though, my guy Gonsolin finally gave up a run.

So they traded Stripling to Toronto for a player to be named later.

I liked Stripling. I know he wasn't on par with the kind of starter the Dodgers usually have but he seemed like a good dude, had a ton of flexibility as a starter, long relief, etc. Hope he does great in Canada.

EDIT -- On a side note, the Dodgers are a +90 in run differential, which is double the next best in the league.

San Diego's is +43, which is impressive too, they have a few games where they won by 10+ lately so that makes sense.

Cutting down on the strike out and increasing his walks has helped a lot. Helps run the pitch count for their pitchers up and get baserunners on at the bottom of the order. Hopefully he can increase the balls he puts into play a bit while keeping the K's down.
