Flyers hire Knoblauch as assistant coach
http://www.tsn.ca/flyers-hire-knoblauch-as-assistant-coach-1.772630

sounds like a very accomplished jr coach thats good at managing young players

Knoblauch is coming off an Ontario Hockey League title and four consecutive 50-win seasons

Getting his first major-league coaching job is the next logical step for the 38-year-old Knoblauch, who is very well-regarded around hockey. Agent Jeff Jackson has been glad to send McDavid and prospects Taylor and Darren Raddysh, Travis Dermott and Alex DeBrincat to Erie, where Knoblauch improved their NHL stock

Knoblauch also had a hand in the development of Washington Capitals forward Andre Burakovsky and Toronto Maple Leafs forward Connor Brown in Erie and Buffalo Sabres forward Sam Reinhart during his time coaching the Kootenay Ice, which included a Western Hockey League championship.

As Dylan Strome listed the Erie Otters' accomplishments over the past few years and the talented players to come out of the junior program, the Arizona Coyotes' top prospect quickly gave credit to Kris Knoblauch, the coach who made it happen.
"He'll be in the NHL in no time," Strome said recently.

I am happy with this more than anything. I feel with most Philadelphia sports we have talented players but a sever lack in coaching.

so comparing our picks vs bob macks mock draft we had a solid draft

name-drafted-b mack rank
patrick-2-2
frost-27-38
ratcliff-35-27
ustimenko-80-NA - bobs got like 6 other goalies none are this guy :O
strome-106-59 - seems like it could be a steal pick i was surprised to see him slip this far back he was projected a mid 2nd from most articles i saw even bob
sushko-107-na - this guys got pretty high potential in nhl games which doesnt mean shit but maybe hes another good late round pick

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/sportsnets-2017-nhl-draft-prospect-rankings-october-jeff-marek/
according to this he has ratcliffe and strome as "dont sleep on " picks in october and they got slept on

Olle Lycksell, the Flyers' sixth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, led all scorers with five goals. Travis Sanheim and David Kasehad four goals apiece.

sanheim is really good offensively for a d man but 4 goals? lol
if he makes the team which expected by many imagine him +ghost on the pp :O

who knows though we could have like morin hagg sanheim maybe even myers all fighting for spots lol

funny how the talk about stolarz and hart and say how strong our goalie prospects are
yet they completely ignore sandstrom whos playing in SHL at a young age and lyon who was a ncaa FA pick up that played in ahl last season and put up good #s

they also dont mention myers who is one of our best d prospects who was also an FA signing

i mean its good they voted flyers #1 but they dont seem to know that much about flyers prospects or left out some important ones... maybe there is just too many :P

nhl.com projected line up for this upcoming season

Travis Konecny -- Claude Giroux -- Jakub Voracek
Jordan Weal -- Sean Couturier -- Wayne Simmonds
Oskar Lindblom -- Nolan Patrick -- Valtteri Filppula
Jori Lehtera -- Mike Vecchione -- Michael Raffl

Ivan Provorov -- Andrew MacDonald
Samuel Morin -- Shayne Gostisbehere
Robert Hagg -- Radko Gudas

Brian Elliott
Michal Neuvirth

i wouldnt mind seeing patrick as top 6 lw maybe even swap him with couts depening how he looks
i like the thought of lindblom as a 3rd liner though high scorer in SHL should be able to translate fairly decently to nhl production
morin and hagg seem to be the 2 felt most nhl ready but there has been lots of talk of sanheim lately going to bea tough fight between the 3 of them for roster spots
