Yeah i agree. Id imagine mantha is pretty close to untouchable on our end. Until i see some hard evidence, i take it with a grain of salt for now.

Honestly mantha 1f1 isn’t an upgrade for us immediately outside of intangibles like contract and age, it just switches our forward issues from wing to centre. Not to mention Hopkins intangible skills that don’t show up on the score sheet, he’d a rather underrated two way player and one the highest hockey IQ forwards in the league. And Detroit is rebuilding why would you take a guy whos rfa in 1 year for a young piece of your core.

exactly, i dont think a 1 to 1 trade makes much sense for either team... there has to be more.
