As I'm new to this game I play alot solo of course. I've made a fighter which is at level 31 atm. My problem being then is that I'm taking alot of damage, I can maybe do 20-25% of every level before I have to hit town. I have a decent EE sword, str armour and str charm, what would you recommend me to do to last longer in the catacombs and take less damage?

For solo I would say stat to around 75 vita and use ee armors instead of strength. Chains and plates are cheap

Overkill would be to also get a good heal charm set and Place some skillpoints in Salvation
