It could’ve been a matter of Gute just doing the right thing in return for his play for us. That guy is literally the epitome of starting from the bottom and working himself to his level of elite. The raiders was his dream job and his college quarterback happened to be there and if Gute got the most he could by doing right by Tae then I’ll be the first to give him a pass.
EDIT: and if that’s the case it shows me that both the front office and Aaron learned from last year. Aaron’s repaid Gute with his loyalty and Gute realizes that our market attraction for other players can be increased by being the organization that will repay hard working individuals with contracts, and in the worst case situation, work to get a deal that gets you where you want to be after you’ve put in the work.
