Looking for a 2ohm load. Either with a 4 channel or a 2 channel amp. All speakers are 4 ohm impedance. Doing this myself and not exactly sure how to wire impedance for the crossovers with the amp. Only the front speaksers have crossovers. Back speakers are 6x9 3 way.

I can find diagrams all over the internet for subs with different amounts of voicecoils and what not, but nothing for this. Maybe I just cannot google correctly. But I cannot find it.

Still need help.

Question is now: With wiring a 4 channel amp with 4 4ohm speakers is there anyway to get them down a 2 ohm amp load?
The front componets go through a cross over and then get split into a woofer and a tweeter. Back speakers are a 3 way 6x9.


Willing to donote like $5 bucks for fg then donate that fg to you for a correct answer to this. THANKS

The speakers are 4 ohms standard, and that means it is fixed at 4 ohm. You can lower them, but 2 ohms speakers will get wrecked. There's no way you can adjust the amplifier to go that far down! 4 ohms is actually a very low impedance, nearly any amp should be enough. Most speakers are 8, or 6 ohms. 4 is rare, because it is hard to make clean sound, at such low loads, because the amplier will nearly "amplify" to double power. 2 ohms would be triple, or even quadruple power.

Short explanation: The speakers are 4 ohms EACH (It doesn't add up to 8, it is just 4 ohms load). If someone ever made a 2 ohms load speaker, it would sound bad. The frequencies wouldn't be balanced, at all, unless you cash in your house for an amp.

My sub is running at 1 ohm..? They sell lots of 2 ohm component speakers.

UGH gay, i know how to make the power work right. Why do they let amps run that low for a 4 channel? My rockford amp im buying is stable at 2 ohm for a 4 channel. Weird that they cant wire them that low i guess parallel works then and Ill get the 600 watt one. WTF
