WSM - Weapon Speed Modifier
AWSM - Average Weapon Speed Modifier
MWSM - Modified Weapon Speed Modifier
FPA - Frames Per Animation_________________________________
Claws and their WSMWar Fist = [10]
(Scissors) Suwayyah = [0]
Battle Cestus / Wrist Sword = [-10]
Feral Claws = [-20]
Greater Talons / Runic Talons = [-30]
WW BPWe want our 4 fpa ww hitchecks which will be achieved at a MWSM of [-13]. It is simply calculated for each claw
seperately by this formula: (WSM - [claw's IAS amount])
Since runic talons [-30] and feral claws [-20] already fulfill the [-13] MWSM condition, they don't need any additional ias. A suwayyah [0] would need at least 15 ias and a war fist [10] 25 ias.
Ias requirements for each AWSM to hit the 9 fpa trap laying speedQuote (TienJe)
AWSM | IAS %
------------------
-10 | 89
-15 | 75
-20 | 63
-25 | 52
-30 | 42
-35 | 34
-40 | 26
-45 | 19
-50 | 13
Slows target by xx %Items like Arachnid’s Mesh and Bugbelt (europe only item with 10% slow) grant a specific slow percentage. This slow reduces your speed by lowering the WSM so keep that in mind if you want to obtain the 9 fpa trap laying speed even after slow.
Formula: AWSM + [number of slow %) = AWSM after slow (check the list above for your new ias requirement)Regular claw positioningYou equip your
primary claw (it's the claw which hits first;
ias on this claw COUNTS !) over your glove-side and your
secondary claw (
ias on this claw DOESN'T count !) over your boots-side.
The AWSM is simply calculated by this formula: ((WSM1 + WSM2) / 2)
Example: We are equipping 2 gt's for our trapper, the forumla is
((-30 + -30) / 2)
(-60 / 2)
AWSM = -30 (42 ias required for the 9 fpa trap laying speed)
WSM buggingThe WSM bugging is a trick used to get the best damage/speed output from your claws. With this method you can wear high dmg claws in combination which would require way too much ias with the regular claw positioning.
You will need a very slow claw and a fast one, the suwayyah is the best option for the slow claw (explained below).
The slow claw is placed at the glove-side and the fast one at the boots-side. Then
you lift up the slow claw (glove-side) and put it back.
After WSM bugging the boots-side claw will become the new primary claw and the glove-side claw the new secondary one ! Since we want our fury / fools / cruel claw to hit first, it must be the primary claw, therefor we place it at the boots-side before WSM bugging, so the slow claw must be the chaos. The slowest claw for chaos is a suwayyah since war fists (the slowest claw type) can't have 3 sox, that's why a suwayyah is the best option for WSM bugging.
Forumla behind this trickQuote (Xepo)
RC = Base speed right claw (above the boots)
LC = Base speed left claw (above the gloves)
---
(( [RC] + [LC] ) / 2 ) + ( [RC] - [LC] )
Example: We use a chaos suwayyah and a fury feral claw. Since our chaos is a suwayyah (WSM = [0]) and our fury a feral claw (WSM = [-20]) we look at line #1 / column #4
the resulting AWSM is [-30]
