An elite weapon of QLvl 78- needs char level 74 : you want "Cruel" prefix (and maybe also "Master's"). These prefixes are level 56.
With QLvl 78- and char level 74 (ie : iLvl 78), you hit exactly affix level 57 (2 * 78 - 99). That's the closer you can get.

For elite weapons of QLvl 79+, you hit at least affix level 59 (2*79 - 99). Thus increasing your chance for undesired affixes ( "of the giant" [ALvl 59] is probably not so bad, but ALvl 60+ elemental damage are probably not a good idea).

74 for the best chance.

what about for heavy boots and boots? is it any level between 24-51?

I assume Demonhide boots are the best choice for level 30.
Of course defense is not so important, but since any char should reach at least 20 strength, why not using them ?

If you want to imbue normal grade boots for level 30 dueler :
Boots with char level 34
Heavy Boots with char level 36



In classic, I've seen people willing to pay good for +2 barb skill wirt's leg !

Since it's no difference between normal / nightmare / hell mode imbue quests, I could simply just make char - level to 8 - make imbue quest, imbue Diadem?

Else :
Feral claws (QLvl 78) are treated like other elite weapon with QLvl under 79 in table 5.7.
Runic talons (QLvl 81) should be imbued in its exceptional version (Greater talons) with char level 74.



You need char level 73+ to imbue tiaras for high level char.
You need char level 8-20 to imbue circlets for LLD18, and char level 33 to imbue circlets for LLD30.

Same for Tiara, but with Coronet and Circlet it will be like between lvl 18 to 30 for Circ for ex ? (that's what I understood, and saw)
