It was only measured at like 457ft. I thought it went farther than that.

Ya I'm surprised they DFA'd him so quick. Maybe he has been an issue in the clubhouse or something. He does has a poor attitude when things go bad and maybe they don't want him around some of the young guys. He doesn't have the velocity he's had in the past. He was close to triple digits a lot in the past.

They stuck with him last year and gave him a chance and he returned to start 2 playoff games for them.

There has to be some weird backstory like you said. You don't get DFA'D that quickly, unless you did something fucked up in the clubhouse.

Ya and it's not like they have a rotation of 5 pitchers that are all reliable. Newcomb and Wright are inconsistent at best right now. Hamels is on the 45 day DL. Touki looked bad. So it's not like they needed to create a rotation spot. I'm assuming chacin or Tomlin is gonna be the 5th started. I dont think Wilson is on the roster and Anderson probably isnt ready to come up without pitching more in AAA.

Maybe something is wrong with foltynewicz arm and the braves are getting ahead of it and hoping to get something back for him while they can. He's down 5+ mph on his fastball velocity, that's a lot for a guy in his late 20s.

The Mets making Touki and Wright look like they improved over their struggles from last season

7.1 IP 10 SO 0 ER combined over the last 2 games

Hopefully it can be consistent even if they only give 3-4 innings, the bullpen shut them down after that.
Now we're up against THE ace DeGrom

Lost Soroka for the year though or however long the season makes it. That hurts them big time with a already shaky rotation.

It's amazing our hitters made your SP look like aces...

Lol, sorry y'all lost Soroka, but hopefully you guys bounce back. There's nothing better than beating the Braves are 100% full health.

Last week of the season already. The playoff rotation looks extremely shaky. The DH has worked out real well for Atlanta with Duval having a good year and allowing him to play in left while Ozuna DH's.

Fried is lock to start game 1 in any series but beyond that it's very uncertain.

Anderson might be lined up to pitch game 2 even though he's only got 5 games pitched so far in his MLB career.

Hamels just made his first start of the season within the past week and isn't ready to pitch more than a couple innings but he might be the 2nd/3rd starter.

Wright hasn't pitched well at all in the majors with an ERA of 5.74 this year and career ERA of 7.46
Milone, Tomlin, and Ynoa aren't any better either.

The offense is going to have to score a lot of runs with the pitching rotation so thin and most likely putting heavy innings on the bullpen.

The bullpen has been much improved and they are clearly going to have to rely on them heavily throughout the playoffs. I wish Melancon wasn't the closer though. Chris Martin and AJ minter have been the best pitchers out of the bullpen.

Hamels done for the season, pitched all of 3 1/3 innings while giving up 3 runs for us rofl
I hope it's a lesson learned on investing so much in a veteran pitcher 1year deals

but yeah I'm not confident in this rotation at all. The lineup is great, the bullpen is performing great considering the rotation woes.
I think it was a mistake not to move for a pitcher at the deadline, but I'm a keyboard fan not a GM
