Hi, my mom's boss says Acuras are more expensive to repair, but they have the same parts as a Honda, so it would be about the same wouldn't it?

depends on what parts.

as far as drivetrain goes its all honda. but some of their engines only come in acuras, which ups the price tag.

the accord would have cheaper parts i'm sure, but not by much when buying brand new.

your going to find a lot more accords in junkyards and such bc a lot of kids buy them and trash them.

id have to say it depends on the model acura u are talking about, acura's are luxury cars generally aimed at a higher income bracket than hondas. that said all companies are going to charge more for parts to ppl they know can afford them weather it cost them more to make or not. also acuras have many diff features that are not in regular hondas that are pretty much unique to acuras making them more expensive too.

now if its an old acura like a 90's integra or something, then no it should not be any more than say a civic which is basically the same car.

They kinda are..
TL's and MDX's are considered Luxury.
Integra's arent really though, RSX's maybe.

just because the company says that they are more luxurious than their base models does not classify them as a Luxury car

they try to say tha scion tCs are luxury cars too but if you have ever been inside of one you know there is nothing nice about that plastic
