its like i will say
chucky if he stayed in montreal he would be a 50-60 points player during his career (maybe 70-80 if montreal can get really good players to surround him)
chucky in arizona will get the chance to play with really good offensive players, a great defensive player to ''restart'' the attack.
In montreal he was playing with average offensive player and subban who was the one to ''restart'' the attack was gone.

I do agree that montreal didnt get enough for chucky (at least domi and a 2nd/3rd round pick)
but its bergevin afterall. Most of the trades that involved big names he didnt do well

Yeah...

3 big name trades... Subban, Galchenyuk, Paciorrety, 2 / 3 were bad.

MB is pretty good at moving around 3/4th liners. Getting danault, shaw, petry, 2nd round picks etc from practically nothing and moving players as loans like Fleishman, Weiss, plek etc

but that subban/galchenyuk trade really killed it for me, my 2 fav players. He had price/subban/galchenyuk/pacioretty/Gallagher all going in their prime + markov to build a team around but failed that massively, hopefully the rebuild goes better

well you look back at 25 years of drafting you can find mistakes from every team

habs have actually had some decent drafting, some big busts too but far from being bad at drafting

like calling Andrei kostitsyn a bad draft pick... he had 400 games and 222 points in the NHL, it wasn't THAT bad, he was a big skilled forward, just lacked character

The real problem is they get rid of their good prospect
