Would you mind updating the post as to where you are now after 1400 pages for the build etc? thank you

Hey right now the shaft/vis build on page 1 is the way to go and is the most popular. The visionaries these days are much better than when I made the guide so it's the best choice imo. When I first made it there were only 2 x 2 socket visionarys with +2 pally skills and they didn't have any other stats iirc. These days there's plenty with 2 pally skills 2 socs stats/life out there. Fools weps are also popular, but edc is still better than any that aren't 2 soc with self rep for zeal vs zeal since you use exile. For non tap, the builds are still the same. Replace exile with alma and a full non tap setup in stash for barbs/fury/jab. A good non tap setup that I still recommend is:

Eth prudence
Edc
Steelrends
80/30 visionary
angelics
upd gores
verdungos
cham ss

and what's the advantage of using prudence over, say eth shaftstop or fortitude?

counter zons with inner sight, stack def vs babas or other zealots who are taking more hits then you

i suppose for most its just a simple stash item for defense stack; i main a prude on my barb right now on ladder, dmg takes a hit but 64k defense is quite nice

Everything boils down to preference. Most people will run a high life setup, a high defense setup, and a high damage setup

Prudence is a solid high defense setup, doesn't break the bank, and is competitive.

Fort is a nice damage setup.

Armors like Valor or shaft increase life and still have solid damage.

I have been gone for awhile but used to be a top ZvZ in melee(lost my old account pw and d2jsp wont give it back)

I remember always shooting for a beautiful eth Alma, was that because exile was banned because of tap/freezes target? Whats the most common rules now for using an exile vs alma?

Trying to rebuild a baby zealot visionary
