4.2 Prefix Spawn Chance

The % chance that the item will spawn with the prefix you wanted! (EG. An 'Epic' item has 31,28% chance to spawn with the prefix you wanted! Like 'EE' on your sword) Total amount of prefixes at the moment: 33 (See Item Drop chart for the prefixes)

This is incorrect. Here's the math:

The probability of getting the prefix you want is one minus the probability of not getting the prefix you want. So...
Magical = 1 - 32/33 = 1/33 = .0303
Rare = 1 - 32/33*31/32 = 2/33 = .0606
Mystical = 1 - 32/33*31/32*30/31 = 3/33 = .0909
etc

Or alternatively...
Magical = 1/33
Rare = 1/33 + 1/32 - 1/33*1/32 = 2/33
Mystical = 1/33 + 1/32 + 1/31 - 1/33*1/32*30/31 - 1/33*31/32*1/31 - 32/33*1/32*1/31 - 2*1/33*1/32*1/31 = 3/33
etc

Anyway yeah... basically the number of mods divided by 33.

First off I don't know how you can work the math out at all without paul releasing it. I would imagine their is a % chance for each to drop. theres no way of knowing the % change of a unique to drop at least not without pauls help or someone else who has seen the coding. I see everyone bringing up all these mathmatical topics.... Where did they get the formulas? I think we take for granted that most are correct but it makes me wonder how they figured it out. It doesn't make sense at least mathmatically. I mean even with testing you can't figure out the drop rate. You can figure out the % change of a mod spawning on an item if they all have an equal chance, but what if they don't? There is no way to figure it out without seeing the coding. Especially for the tiers. You see 10x more magicals then rares and so forth, so how are you figuring out the chance to drop huh?

If im missing something here please fill me in.

Very nice job ragnaroks. You have always amazed me with this. You hit the nail on the head with almost all of your arguments and you are great at organization. Half of this game I learned just because of your guides, the other half was simply experience from playing it.
