Just finished Thank You For Your Service. I liked it. The VA scenes are pretty accurate. Miles Teller gets a lot of undeserved hate.

Isn't that more because he's supposedly an asshole?

I haven't heard that. Maybe I am biased. He's great in everything I watched.

The Fabelmans

Good. Slow at times, could have edited down about 30 minutes and been better

The Woman King (2023 Netflix) - Honestly not as bad as I expected it be. Still there's more than a few lowbrow crowd pandering moments and a lot of content that should have been cut to make the movie stronger. Too much effort spent trying to make the movie "say" something versus making a movie that is good. Some of the acting is top notch and overall it's an okay story even if it has no historical foundation. I think they could have avoided the controversy by not basing on anything historical which gives even more creative freedom. Idk maybe I'm just too far away from being the target audience to appreciate some of the content.

The Lair of the White Worm (1988) - So much fucking fun to watch lol. Amanda Donohoe is hot as shit, Hugh Grant is painfully british, the story is ridiculous but unique enough that it isnt stale or boring. Not a great movie but for a comedy horror I cant imagine what else you could ask for.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish: 8.7/10

overall well-done movie. Had enough adult easter eggs/humor to keep me entertained. But also the main story that kids would get was still interesting. The wolf was a memorable villain. Makes me want a video game with him.
