8/10, Jane being “Thor” and then she dies in the end, even tho “Thor”. 10/10 if Jane didn’t die and wasn’t “Thor”. But still a good movie imo

Elvis (2022) insanely boring. Main actor does a great job everyone else is shitting their pants the entire movie. Why in gods name did they cast Tom Hanks what the fuck lol. Youre really telling me you couldnt find a regionally ambigious fat older man that could play the part? Yikes. Anyways some of it was cool but the storytelling from the perspective of the manager was annoying/pointless.

Oh yeah they also made some insane choice to add modern era rap to some scenes like cardi b or some shit. You really couldnt find some era appropriate music to throw into the movie during these scenes? It's so jarring cuz the whole movie is basically nostalgia porn for boomers and out of absolutely nowhere you hear this:

This was my only problem with the movie. That’s what Baz does though, usually he is much worse so I was happy to see it was limited.

Outside of that I thought it was great.

Meh to each their own I guess. I think it's fair to say that the movie just plain isnt for me. I dont really care that much about elvis so I'm being more critical than I otherwise would. The storytelling from the manager's perspective was really pointless/annoying tho imo.


Just finished John Carpenter's Vampires. Insanely campy, ridiculous characters/costumes/special effects. Just so unapologetic about what it is and there's some really fuckin funny dialogue. There's nothing deep or meaningful about it but god damn is it a fun ride.
