The Lord's Pattern for Prayer
My dearest Father, may you be glorified and treated as holy in every action, word, and thought in my life. You are the center and focus of my being. May my life cause others to join me in glorifying your name as they see Your holiness in me.
Father, hasten the day for your kingdom to come and until Christ's reign on earth is visible, may I be faithful in the expansion of Your kingdom though the saving of many souls. Give me the wisdom to be committed to you in loyal obedience and place in my heart the future joy of victory. And as long as I live, I submit my will under yours. Help me to obey you with the very same attitude and fervor as you are obeyed in heaven.
For this day, my Father, I depend upon you for my every need, knowing that Your heart of love for this child and all your children will see to it that every necessity of life will be met according to your limitless supply. I praise you for all blessings, for I know that all good things come from Thee.
Dear Father, I know that I sin against You and I offer no excuse by which to justify my weakness and rebellion. I sin daily and I humbly appeal to Thy limitless grace and mercy for restoration of fellowship between me and Thee. I pray for Thy grace and mercy to forgive all who have offended me. For who am I not to forgive, when you so willingly have forgiven me when I offend You.
My lovely Father, I am so weak and unable to resist temptations of the devil on my own. I am not asking for exemption from any difficulty because I realize that they are good for my growth. I ask that you lead me by your presence with your strong hand through the trails and if I start to waver, my God in heaven, deliver me from the destructive influences of satan, his demons, and sin.
I come to You, my Father, with all confidence, for Thou art the eternal, all powerful, all glorious, sovereign King over all of creation for ever and ever, Amen.
"Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live." Psalm 116:2
