Very useful, you might want to consider getting rid of the yellow text though, it's almost impossible to read if you don't highlight it.

came from the hg forums. the newbie section there is great for this basic stuff.

Aye, but the HGL forums are black, so yellow text isn't bad there, it's a good guide, I just think the yellow text should be changed to something else, hell even just a darker shade of yellow would do.
