Curious and honest question. My trade thread got closed on the D2R Softcore Ladder boards for an Early Bump Violation.

I did not post back to back, I simply thanked users for trades but as there were multiple trades I didn't quote the users specifically.

Am I not supposed to thank users for trades in the topics? This is the first time a post of mine has been closed for a violation like this. And I do usually always thank for trades. Also if I understand the rules correctly I cannot repost those items in a topic for 4 hours (what would be considered an attempt to bypass an early bump violation).

Thanks for reading, hope you're having a good weekend :)

I would also like some clarification on this if at all possible. I also quote people 't4t' or 'pm' when they respond to a post I make, it seems like a very common practice. Just would like to avoid any potential future problems! Thank you in advance <3

I don't understand, It's still an early bump violation. If you want to thank a person you can do that via pm. What you're doing is taking a Top 10 topics spot to thank someone. When someone has an actual trade that needs to be seen. And they can't, because you're topic is essentially closed and taking up a spot.

Ya I read another post here and came to that conclusion.

I was just following along with what I saw others doing, just another lemming. After reading into it further I can see how it is considered an early bump, therefore I won't be doing it anymore in threads.

Cheers.

Well the confusion sets in because it is such a common practice. I implore you, take 5-10 minutes to check every post with 3-4 pages or more. You will see 't4ts' and 'pms' in almost every single one. I just assumed it was the norm because everyone does it. Now I see two people get actioned because of it and I find myself perplexed.

I decided to do the work for you. These are all posts with 3+ pages on the front pages. Every single one has 't4ts' and 'pmd'

Again I would like to reiterate:

Every single one of these were taken from the front page at time of refresh.
Every single one of these have posts with 't4t' or 'pmd' or something very similar.
Every single one of these have 3 or more pages.
Why are these okay but Krimzon and Otios are not?

Myself, and others, are merely looking for clarity on what is okay and what is not okay. That is all.

I would also like to apologize to all the posters in my examples. I am not trying to witch hunt or seek justice. I am solely trying to drive the point home and attempt to get clarity on the topic at hand.

This is also an early bump. You can't do this. If you want to thank someone for trading, please send a pm

Thanks for the response but this is not the answer to the question.

I don't want people to be actioned.

I want to know exactly what is okay and what is not okay so I don't get actioned.

This is what I (and others) are trying to figure out.

How often can I reply in my post? If I post an item for say 50fg and someone offers 40fg, can I respond to their offer with 45fg? What if this all takes place in a span of two minutes? Is this okay? It's starting to seem like if you post in your own thread more than once every 4 hours that you risk being actioned. This is what I'm trying to get clarity on so I can make sure to take the steps to prevent it.

Thanking people or responding to 1 post with a t4t is considered EB as stated above.

If you see any of these in the TG then just report the violations and move on.
