Good night guys. I have a question since I know most of you are gamers. Why do they call it S tier when talking about characters that are elite in any ARPG? And then it's A tier, B tier, C tier, D tier and F tier. Depending on how many tiers people use. Why is it S tier at the very top? Why not just start with A tier at the top of the list? Every time I keep seeing the characters I play being placed in the A tier and B tier category and I'm thinking that's good. LOL. When in reality I should be playing the S tier like everybody else. Oh well. I do enjoy playing unique character classes anyway.

That's funny! I've been playing ARPGs for a very long time. Late '90s at least with Diablo 1 on the original PlayStation.
Diablo 2 classic since the summer of 2000. And I never understood what S tier was. I just play what I have fun doing,.
For example the Summon Druid on D2R is probably my favorite build of all-time. Having all the summons out at once.

Special is what it means? I'm not even sure that I've ever made what is considered to be S tier build.
The builds I play the absolute best with. The way that I play is a lot different than what others play.
