this happens when ever u switch character / game to quick.... blizzard implemented some stupid delay between each interaction in an attempt to stop botters.......
( think atleast 2-3s between switching games) rejoining same game to quick will get u temp ban

and recommend stay in that game 2 min before switching
(otherwise u will be hit / flagged with limit 20 games per hour)
After that u get R/D (temp ban, a.k.a realm down)



for character screen ( wait 8-10s each interval section/ screen )
switching any faster will get u
" Realm Down / connecting to battle.net ......... respond"

Are you sure this is intentional though and the server is not just being a POS? When I was playing last night, there was a noticeable load delay on every screen. Just seems unstable.

This doesn't change the public IP, it just releases the local IP and then asks DHCP to assign a new IP. This won't get a new public facing IP address

Anyone who still use bot till this day knows there is an interaction delay they need avoid, they config their script to avoid being flagged as malicious

The issue just started yesterday though. It would be interesting if they actually cared enough to implement new measures to stop botters for a day before they adjust their settings to adapt.

The OP is playing D2Lod, so this measures are nothing new, for battle.net

Chat ban is crazy ( Type/ Texting "China Version") ingame will get you 30 sec Chat ban ingame ( no joke..... Test texting this in a baalrun game)
Type that again it doubles 1 min
third time 2 min chat ban ingame.....

Think they removed this for D2R ( cant say for sure, cuz i only play D2Lod,)

It is very new actually. Yes, there are measures to stop botting but I've never seen ones like this before. You join a single game and stay in it for 5 minutes you might have a temp restrict when you leave. Closest I've seen was around 2019 or so they had implemented a measure where if you joined a game too quickly after leaving one you would get a temp restrict. That was removed ages ago though. This one I can't find any particular pattern with getting kicked out. Also, it seems to just restrict the account you're logged in to rather than your IP/key like it usually does.

i was in a baal run game and afk'd. came back 5 mins later so was in the game for 6-10 mins. i dont bot, i dont use mh even. i left game, and got the unable to connect to server message. i wasnt a unable to connect to battle net display. i could connect to battle net but when i entererred my acnt n pass the message for unable to connect to server came up, where my chars normally are. its been i think 3 days of this randomly happening. only lasts 1-10 mins but still, its new and odd and annoying. jw if anyone knows what its about.

Someone created a topic for this on Blizzard classic games support. Hopefully the devs see it. I'd link it but I'm not sure that's allowed.

Hmm you not using VPN/Proxy or anything ?? I know they can get flagged / blacklisted ( another measure blizzard take to "try" prevent bots)
