First of all,
awesome base.
But it's not so simple, it's not going to destroy Self-wield Infinity build in p8 whatsoever, with the perfect -ELR rolls the Infinity build has -85% enemy light res before conviction, then u add -17% (1/5 conviction) from it after light sundered light immunes, so it reaches the -102% enemy light res, what means the 5k dmg nova will hit light immunes with full capacity and non-immunes takes double dmge. Obsession build will get bigger number on display, yeah, close to 7k actually, but then enter the immunity problem, because you have only -47% (items+ 1/5 conviction after sunder), that means your 7k nova only hits immunes for half of its damage. It's not better, it's just different way to play. You have style points for sure. The Obsession version also loses the Med aura from Insight, it suffers with mana and survivability comparing with Self-wield Infinity. And let's be honest full ES sorc don't need resists capped, neither a big life pool, unless you're making a hybrid life/mana, if that's the case, then Obsession makes much more sense ofc. But it is weaker and less tanky then self-wielding infinity with big mana pool and med aura. When we talk about high player count, piercing res is everything.
