In a world of whimsy, by pond's edge they dwell,
Ducks waddle and quack, their tales they do tell.
With feathers aflutter, and bills dipped in mire,
Their intelligence, some might dare to inquire.

But in the land of reason, where minds take flight,
Ducks may not shine with intellect's bright light.
For in matters of thought, they may seem to lack,
Preferring the simplicity of a quack.

In games of chess, they'd surely fall short,
Their strategy limited, their moves but a sport.
They'd rather paddle in waters so still,
Than ponder equations or complex skill.

Yet in their simplicity, there lies a charm,
A beauty in nature, a gentle disarm.
For though they may not solve equations profound,
In their simplicity, joy can be found.

So let us not judge with a critical eye,
For intelligence takes many forms, we can't deny.
In the world of ducks, let us find our delight,
In their simple quack and their waddle so bright.
