haha yea barb is brutal to lvl. Ondals pre-teled TZ baal runs is the most min/max you'll find for them.

Even a perfectly optimized throw barb with 100% perfect gear/rare/hero edited items and chant sorc isn't going to be as fast as any other character's meta build unfortunately.

Playing just TZ chaos and baal as support barb is somewhat fun. Landing perfect leaps on seal bosses and pre-popped seals and stunning wave 3 minions to prevent hydras baal makes you feels somewhat useful. Still sucks and you only get exp on those 2 TZ too XD

i did some checking earlier at lvl 89 with throw barb setup (the rare stygian lacerator +a1 faith merc)

and i get like 4.5 mio frmo 1 baalrun, but about 8-10 mio from a chaos+part baalrun

so i guess doing chaos in baalruns as throw barb is still worth it xD

Don't use decrepify for this ;) it removes 50% DR but it also is a 50% slow AND -50% damage. So effectively monsters have a drastically reduced DPS and so drastically reduced thorns damage.

oh yea 100% solo lvling is always best. Only doing group lvling on chaos/baal TZ because you can't find baal runs when chaos is the TZ or vice versa, so you're kind of stuck with group play
