I’d recommend running Malwarebytes if you downloaded anything. We would need to know exactly what was hacked/done to help you further though.

What's the benefit of running malwarebytes? I think windows defender is good enough, but not sure what malwarebytes does that windows defender doesn't. I haven't ran malwarebytes since before win10 was released.

Malwarebytes sometimes picks up things that Windows Defender doesn't, and vice versa. Although anecdotally i've never seen something quarantined via Windows Defender but viruses/malware are decently rare these days since people got smarter about downloading random files
