Hey,

im usually playing with three clients

1 x BO Barb

1 x Enchant Sorc

1 x Main Char

Im currently thinking about a ww barb with this weapon setup:

Mainhand: Grief
Offhand: Phoenix (- fire resist, good for the fire dmg from enchant, and im in love with this sanctuary aura)

to support the fire dmg i would not go with a pride merc, instead im willing to take an inifity (-83 % enemys defense -85 % resists)

therefore the questions comes up, if grief is ideal here or i should go with:

Mainhand: BoTd
Offhean Phoenix

Really looking forward for you opinion :)

greets!

If that’s the setup you’re using there is no reason to take bird over grief. Grief does more damage and you won’t be reliant on leech with redemption aura. Just get some leech on rings

I’d probably go double throw if using a chant sorc and Bo barb but if you want to go ww and Pheonix then grief would be the way to go. 2 griefs would do a lot more dmg though

testet dual grief vs. grief + phoenix and lvl 31 enchant (both setups) and they felt equal in cows

the redemption aura will help in areas with a lot of non leachable enemies at least so I would go with that over botd.

phoenix as a shield is better than using it as a weapon imo. the grief will benefit from the 400ed the phoenix has a shield so berserk con and leap atk will do way more damage. also if the phoenix is a weapon the grief won't benefit from the -28% fire res. 1-handing a grief with a phoenix shield will not do significantly less phy damage than grief and phoenix weapon with ww either. with pbs it might even do more. you will want to use a zwiehander though because range will matter a lot with 1 weapon especially with ww. ba has too low durability but big swords aren't that bad. zwiehander is best because the elite swords are slow.
