I can see why the government will want to make insurrections illegal; the government is the target of these insurrections after all. But there is a conflict of interest here. The entity deciding that insurrections are illegal happens to be the one that has a lot to lose from said insurrections. It's almost like when a king from the olden days makes it illegal for his subjects to rise up and depose him. It's rational from his point of view, of course, the king wants to stay. But from the peasants' point of view, it's just yet more proof that their ruler is self-interested and corrupt.
I also think passing laws to ban insurrections is redundant. Insurrections are by nature violent, and are already illegal acts. This strikes me as the government making the breaking of laws illegal. It's redundant.

Trump should not be responsible for what other people did. The woman died because someone else killed her, not Trump. This is why Trump shouldn't be in jail.
