Would like it to be implemented that if a friend is tracking me that I know about it.

Tested with another user and confirmed no notification, but you DO have to be friends.
If it's easy to implement I support it, otherwise just don't add people you wouldn't want following you. :)

I agree with that last sentiment, however it would be nice to know

Bolded is kind of why I don't think it's needed. There's no notifications when users track your topic either, so I just don't see a need for it
