In order to be a comeback player you must have done something in your career before. Post actual stats. Make tackles. Make sacks. Score touchdowns. Win games. Win super bowls. Damar has done what exactly? Yeah he died on the field? What did he do before dying on the field? Ran on it? Had an tackle assist? Joe Flacco is a Super Bowl champion. Went MIA and came back and led the lowly Browns into the playoffs. That's called a comeback.

Yeah but he wasn’t out due to injury or anything. He was just a back-up since he left Baltimore really. If anything Baker should be comeback player for his improved play. Bounced from Cleveland to play poorly/not earn the starting role in Carolina or LA (He would have been a back-up in La regardless).
If Flacco had played 75% of the season or something it would go to him.

I don’t agree with Damar Hamlin winning it though, guy didn’t “comeback” to do anything but be alive.

Yeah a case can definitely be made for Baker 100%. Damar just died and came back the same player he was. A nobody. Thats not a comeback.

I would have rooted for Demar if he had played meaningful snaps in 2023. But maybe 100 snaps total? Now, if Demar had 50 tackles and played 15 games different story. I was half worried he was only on the Bill roster for story tbh
