You submit yourself to endless notifications if you make a thread that is active/popular without anyway of turning off the notifications.
Please consider implementing an option like "Track Topic" for your own topics so you can choose to get notifications or not.

If someone could edit my poll from "of" to "off" please.

GH thread with more context if needed.

Tools --> Tracker --> Tick the box of the relevant topic --> Edit Selected --> Untick "Push Notify"

If you haven't tracked the topic in question, track it and proceed as described. This should work.

The topic is not in my tracked log, and was never an option to be tracked.

Testing what you told me, I added it to tracked topic list then removed it using "untrack"
Need someone to post

Back to square one now.

You'd have to have DF access.

I left the topic in tracked, with push notifications disabled for now.
As Tony Suggested. Waiting on a post.

That's some wild work around .
I still think the idea would be a good implement to avoid this going forward.
Thanks for the tip, saved me my sanity.

Tools --> Tracker --> Tick the box of the relevant topic --> Edit Selected --> Untick "Push Notify"

Implies you're going to track it (because it's currently not in your tracked list if you don't track it upon creating it) , but unchecking "Receive push notifications" disables the notifications.
I wonder if the"How long" drop down options have any effect on NOT receiving notifications. I selected 1 week, we'll see.
Sounds like you're kind of reversing the intended procedure of notifications in a way; if that makes sense.
