I gotta say 76ers I need ^Sixers gigabrain to explain to me how Philly got better overall by acquiring a second round pick and cap space for Kyle Lowry is an upgrade before I say otherwise
They acquired Hield, which is the only relevant move really.
If we're going to act like trading Pat Bev and Jaden Spring, two guys who are normally not even in the rotation, is a major deal then idk what to say. Those are your 10th or 11th guys off the bench normally, at best. Both fun players and likeable, both tough defensively, but neither are in a playoff rotation.
Morey just said today in his press conference that Pat Bev's role with the team was going to dimish as the season went on. They knew he was just going to sit the bench and then be gone in the offseason, so it's better to get a 2nd rounder for him now. I think they've known all along they're going to get Lowry once he's bought out.
At full strength in the playoffs when rotations are much smaller this team absolutely improved.
