I bought my first gaming PC since 2010 last Summer. Work has come to an end fortunately which leaves me with a lot of free time. I picked up Diablo II: Resurrected but it didn't quite scratch that itch. I played WoW classic for a little bit and that was really fun. Next up, I guess, is Maplestory. The last time I played there was a DK named Analysis that was really popular. For those that remember him understand when I say it's been a very long time. What are the chances I would pick up Maplestory and have as much fun as I did back in the day?

Is Maplestory 1 still active? Is Maplestory 2 anything like OG Maplestory? Are there any modes within these games that give off that same feeling in Maplestory? I'm trying really hard to scratch an itch that doesn't exist.

Mapelstory 1 is active yes. Maplestory 2 was shut down. It was weird lol. In Maplestory 1. Reboot exists for a more free 2 play style and has a lot less of the upgrades but there's no trading at all so it's all self-grinding. regular servers on maple story has trading but a lot more upgrades like scrolling, star forcing, bonus potential and flames that make it feel a bit different from the maple story of 2010

The difference from back then is enormous. You're gonna end up needing to spend a lot of money on nx for the most part to be remotely happy with your account. The early stages are very fun though, make sure to start during a burning event so you get the most benefits as possible and don't worry they have back to back events that are all quite similar. There are also event cubes that can get your potentials to legendary. I suggest trading servers especially if you're a d2 player.

With the Korean law suit in KMS, the company is punishing players, you should see the state of KMS before u go play GMS.
