have you tried using the pad until you become accustomed to having that much weight on your back?

Even with the pad and wide grip..anything above 100 lbs is rough..

Few things I would think about:

Your grip could be too narrow, putting your triceps in a more stretched position, which could be eased by widening the grip

Issues with shoulder mobility, having poor mobility can make this alot worse

Ive done 8+ years of wrestling, boxing, mma, yoga. My mobikity should not be an issue. I train/stretch for jr

You’re right, it’s clearly the barbells fault.

I’d stick to bozu ball pushups and kettle bell goblet squats.

Rough from tingling?
What medications are you on?
Don't want to assume HGH, but that's what these effects sound like, lol.

You could still have poor mobility - there are tests you can do to assess it

How is your behind the neck press? You should be able to BTN press approximately the same weight as your standard OHP, a deficiency here is either caused by poor shoulder mobility or chronically undertrained upper back and rear & lateral deltoids

I used to have issues with back squats, but following this advice I unlocked by shoulders in a few days:

Is it just back squats, or front and overhead squats give the same issue?

Sounds like poor circulation to your arms or a pinched nerve in your neck that causes an issue when weight is loaded nearby.

I’d try to stretch out your neck/shoulders/upper body and hit it with a massage gun, or pay someone to give you a gnarly upper body massage and try to work that area loose, or try some dry needling.
