Woulda coulda shoulda

Embiid is far more versatile. He's one of the games best mid-range shooters in the game (prime KD type of shooting numbers in the mid range). He's THE best post scorer in the league. He's elite defensively (something Shaq was NOT). He is a great free throw shooter. He checks all the boxes, many of which Shaq did not.

Obviously nowhere near as accomplished in terms of championships, but in terms of ability in today's game? Yeah it's pretty straight forward.

I'm very certain Embiid is not the best post scorer in the league. One of his biggest faults is he settles for too many jumpers and this is well known

i like that we all overlook shaq getting swept by hakeem in the finals and talk about his prime being in LA when kobe was taking double teams all day himself

These days he has changed his game a bit and improved in recent seasons, operating more from the FT line elbow area, to better handle double teams. He's also such an elite shooter now better than ever before and his mid-range work is just unfair. He scores from anywhere.

Also, fewer of his shot attempts are from 3pt% than ever before. He's more selective on threes and only takes them when given the right opportunity.
