Mercenary:
Helm: Dream? Jeweler?
Armor: Fort? dragon?
Weapon: Obvious a Infinity

Does the sorc work better as vita or ES/Mana?

PVP or PVM?

Passion pb for pvm wep, for pvp there are loads of viable choices. There also exists 40ias/fool's/zeal charget swords, but then again you will use them all quickly in pvm.
Viper armor, if killing speed is more important you can consider dragon.
Gloves: Magefists
Boot's depends if es or not. For general pvm maby sands/wts as a simple choice.
Rings: soj + raven
Ammy: 2/20fcr/adds
Belt: arach

I would at least mix in some ES, but its up to you.

Merc:
Infinity, nn dream and such on him.

definitely full ES because you have the spare skills points and wont use much mana yourself

1 charget's, lightning and chain lightning

Thats a lvl 99 sorc running dry of skills...
Even without fun utulity skills like blaze, thunder storm etc...

This build would only work for pvp I think.
