I don't think there's any debate for the best MLB rivalry. Has to be Yankees - Red Sox

Before, yes. It's 2023 though lol

Both of those teams are shit now and they really aren't that competitive with one another anymore. It's nowhere near what it used to be.

But there is little rivalry here. This is the 2nd year the Phillies have made the playoffs in since 2011. Braves and Dodgers has more of a recent history. Maybe in a year or two if they keep meeting in the playoffs and have some competitive series but this is definitely not the best rivalry in baseball right now imo.

I would say at this very moment, it is.

Braves and Dodgers aren't even in the same division. Braves and Phillies have been rivals for years in the NL East which makes their playoff rivalry what it is (similar to Red Sox and Yankees).

As a Phillies fan you might see it that way, but as a Braves fan there is not a bigger rivalry than the Dodgers right now.

Braves lost in 2018 in Divisional series to Dodger 3-1 (Not a big deal)

But the last 2 matchups were in NLCS back to back years with the Dodgers coming back down 3-1 in 2020 and the Braves holding on to a 3-1 series lead in 2021 to go to the World Series. And now a franchise icon is playing for LAD in Freeman. ATL and LAD are the 2 best teams in the NL and likely will be going forward for a few years.

We will see but for Braves fans the Dodgers area bigger rivalry right now.

Good luck on the upcoming series.

I've literally never heard a Braves fan call the Dodgers a rivalry with them and I know several season ticket holders. 🤔

Anyways...If Phillies win this series there won't be a rivalry. There will just be pure domination. B)

Atlanta has won the last 6 NL East Championships and probably going to extend that. Philly has made the Playoffs 2 times in 12 years.... Maybe if they play a couple more series in the coming years but there is nothing right now that's a rivalry.

If Phillies win this series it'll be total domination. You can't choke up after two 100+ win seasons and lose to a wild card team b2b years.

You can have your regular season awards. Nobody cares about divisional titles when you cant finish in the playoffs!
