IMO NBA quality is going down meanwhile FIBA has been raising the bar. Still pretty much every Euro star would drop everything to play in the NBA. I think as international basketball continues to grow it will put pressure on the NBA to correct some egregious stuff. If a euro team wins gold it will only serve to raise the standards in the NBA.

What would you say those standards should be?

I'd rather see rules changed to favor tight defense. I get why the league caters to casual fans that wanna see more scoring, I think over time it will shift back to more defensive oriented strategies like what we see in FIBA now.

Josh Hart playing PF in international ball was just atrocious to watch. That made watching JJJ even more useless since he is WAY more valuable with someone playing inside on both ends so he can play roaming

FIBA is like 5% NBA players and the games flow much differently than NBA games. It isn’t a 3 pt spamming contest
