I know they have the implements

Don't have weights at home so I'd need 2 implements plus a few hundred lbs of weights

Not wanting to spend that just to do farmers walks in my backyard a couple times a week

Most cost effective way ? Any ideas?

150-200 lbs each hand

Get yourself a half decent quality wheelbarrow from a local pawn shop or garage sale. Fill it with very heavy things.

I use a wheelbarrow for work and the best ones are with an all rubber wheel that don't pop. Also going on the incline is only way to get a good workout. On the flat there is no challenge as most of the weight rests on the wheel.
I would go diy farmers walk online and make something there.

Here is a couple of examples.

Or a tyre which you can load with sandbags

Cheapest way is way easier and more effective for arms. Find any pullup bar or anything you can hang on. Just hang onto that bar until your arms give out. Over time, bring one arm closer and bend your elbow on one arm to increase the load on the other arm. Biggest benefit is achieved if you are able to hang with a single arm. You're a monster if you can do a chinup with that single arm :D
It makes you crazy strong in the way that you transfer force better with a strong grip. The thicker the bar the harder the grip exercise gets.

If you already have weight plates, and not heavy dumbbells, the cheapest way would be to get a set of plate loaded farmer's carry handles. These can be pretty cheap on amazon.

The other option is a trap bar, which in my opinion will be the most effective way to perform the farmer's carry (this way, it becomes a frame carry instead)

Dead hangs, pullups and their intricities are a very different exercise!
