Yes theres some openings for finesse technique but generally whoever has a bigger wallet wins

Hvh is honestly pretty lame when both players know how to effectively clag. Youre just trying to hit with invisible hammers without getting hit by invisible hammers. There's instinct involved but a lot of it is luck

imo nvn is one of the best class v class duels in classic. Skill>gear. Sometimes bone spirits bug and go invisible but for the most part its a slug fest of dodging spear/spirits while trying to land your own. Fast escaping bone prisons before a wave of spirits can eat you alive. If you can learn your opponent faster than they can predict your own movements. Its not quite like svs where reaction time is all important, but like a deadly game of cat and also cat. If youve never had a really good nvn fight against a skilled opponent, give it a try sometime. You might just like it
