Ok cool. Customer service really that important though? Don't really see using them beyond the initial set up

Interactive Brokers for me when buying ETFs.

But I do use others occasionally for investments in a specific country.

Fidelity

Top security, insured, easy setup for 401k/403, Ira both traditional
And Roth, brokerage accounts . Stock trades free and cheap option plays. Very good fill times. You can actually place market value trades and not get completely fucked. Customer service is amazing

Wells Fargo
Do my primary banking here so the benefit of a brokerage account with your brick and mortar is that you can get leveraged loans against your investments. For example we did a 200k home remodel and I financed the entire thing at 1% interest with a personal loan against my invested assets. Basically able to be extremely liquid without taking a dollar out of the market. This is not unique to Wells Fargo but any major bank will probably do this but that’s the benefit of having a brokerage with a major bank
