Fred VanVleet is so good! People said he was overpaid but he brings a certain level of leadership and calmness to a young team. He's reliable, an all-star and NBA champion. He brings certain qualities the Houston Rockets haven't had in years and years. It'll be fun watching him!

And this should be Jalen Green's all-star season as he ascends to superstar status in year three at 21 years old. Jabari Smith Jr. also has superstar potential. And then Amen Thompson, Cam Whitmore and Alperen Sengun are all talented young players. The Houston Rockets have a sneaky good team if Dillon Brooks can play All-NBA defense without being ejected every other game.

They also unloaded Kevin Porter Jr. and his toxic ways. Brought in Victor Oladipo who they can flip later on for more assets.
I'm not saying playoffs just yet. They may be two years away. But they should be fun to watch this season. Win 30+ games.

In the preseason finale last night against the Heat both VanVleet and Jalen Green played well. Green, in particular, looked unstoppable in the brief minutes that he played. Jalen Green looked like he's going to be the next big superstar in the NBA. He's quick, lengthy, athletic and scores! There was a reason some people compared Jalen Green to a young Kobe Bryant in terms of his complete offensive game. I'm starting to see it. He's progressing rapidly now. Those off-season workouts with Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have paid off for Jalen Green.
